Theoretical and Experimental Analysis of Two Passive Solar Heating Systems
نویسندگان
چکیده
Passive solar heating is presently a major concern of Romania groups working on building research and design. The first theoretical and experimental research studies were worked out in INCERC and used the following experimental bases: the INCERC 1 solar cabin (1974), the Campina solar houses (1976, 1977), the solar apartment buildings in Medgidia (1981) and CS 3 Bucharest solar house at INCERC (1982). Three passive solar heating systems were analysed: – the INCERC system, similar to the Trombe system with air flow through the greenhouse space collecting solar radiation; – the Trombe system without air flow; – the direct gain system with triple glazing.

Improvement of thermal performance of a solar chimney based on a passive solar heating system with phase-change materials
Passive solar systems such as solar chimneys need solar radiation in order to work. Therefore, they cannot present stable natural ventilation when solar energy vanishes: to have a more robust and stable condition, solar energy should be stored during the day and released back during the night. Phase change materials can save additional thermal energy during the day and release it during the...

متن کاملComparative performance assessment of flat plate and evacuated tube collectors for domestic water heating systems in Kerman, Iran
This study represents a year-round energy performance of two solar water heating (SWH) systems with a 4m2 flat plate collector (FPC) and an evacuated tube collector (ETC) operating under the same weather conditions. The energy performance of the two considered systems was compared on a monthly and yearly basis. The obtained results showed that for an annual total solar insolation of ...
متن کاملGlazed Transitional Space as a Passive Heating System (Case Study: Glazed Loggias in Semi-Arid climate)
The environmental concern, ensuring comfort for occupants, pushed us to search for the impact of glazed loggia on thermal comfort of adjacent space in Cons tantine climate, having s trong climatic cons traints. An experimental s tudy is undertaken and described in this paper. Analysis of the in situ results is also discussed. This work shows that in winter glazed loggia benefit largely from sol...
متن کاملComparative Analysis of Active and Passive Solar Heating Systems with Transparent Insulation
The objective of this research is to achieve a high solar fraction in social housing, for which investment costs are strictly limited. Six houses have been built in the east of France: two with active (solar collectors) and four with passive (Trombe walls) solar heating systems. Two types of transparent covers are compared: a capillary structure and a simpler polycarbonate plate. The project wa...
